On August 26th, 2023, "Zheli Yumi, Building Dreams in Shangtang", the unveiling ceremony of HUST Zhejiang Alumni House and the opening ceremony of Yugasum Company were held in the beautiful Shangtang River in Gongshu District!

President Wang Yazhen gave a welcome speech for the event. President Wang expressed his hope that by continuously collecting and organizing the historical information of the Alumni Association for more than 30 years, and continuously building the Alumni House, the Alumni House will become a platform for exchange and communication of the alumni of HUST in Zhejiang, and a spiritual home for alumni, and at the same time, he thanked the alumni of the Zhejiang Branch for their support and dedication, and also wished the Yugasum a great success in the opening of the company.
As the head of the Zhejiang Alumni Association of the University of Science and Technology of China, President Wang has been devoted to the construction and development of the Association for many years. Under the leadership of President Wang, the Zhejiang Alumni Association has continued to promote the cooperation between alumni and their alma maters, between alumni enterprises, and between alumni and alumni, and has made outstanding contributions to Zhejiang alumni in various aspects, such as resource sharing, information liaison, and enrichment of the daily life of the alumni.

Director Zhuge Jianqing, Deputy Secretary of Party Work and Director of Office of Shangtang Street, Gongshu District, extended his warm congratulations to this opening ceremony of HUST Zhejiang Alumni Home and Yugasum Company, and also said that 9.6 square kilometers of Shangtang from today onwards is also the home of all HUST people.
Director Zhuge made a three-dimensional and comprehensive introduction of Shangtang Street from five aspects, namely, history and culture, location advantages, education and human resources, industrial advantages, and social governance, and emphasized that the Party Committee Office of Shangtang Street would guarantee the peace of mind, comfort, and reassurance of all Shangtang family members with sincerity, dedication, and diligence.

Academician Tan Jianrong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and honorary president of Zhejiang Alumni Association of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), also sent his deep expectations and blessings to the Alumni House and Yugasum. Academician Tan recounted for the alumni and guests present that HUST has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents and made great contributions to the development of the national society in the glorious history of its establishment for more than seventy years.
